As February concludes, I feel I can speak for us all & confidently proclaim that the excitement of the first snowfall is long gone. At this point of the season, the never-ending cycle of gray skies, freezing temperatures, and relentless winds are winning the battle, but they do not have to win the war.
It’s time to put your dukes up! Let’s turn this season around and fight back with some much-needed wellness practices that help you survive—and thrive— the rest of the winter.

Routine exercise, such as pilates or even an occasional brisk walk, help to release endorphins, also known as the “happy hormone.” Additionally, the subsequent increase in blood circulation from exercise keeps skin glowing and nourished from the inside out. Be sure to set attainable fitness goals that work with your lifestyle. Remember, something is better than nothing :-)
2. Romantize Routines
Transform your daily routines into rituals
Put on your favorite robe and fragrance while you brew a hot cup of tea after a long day, or try lighting a candle and playing jazz music while cleaning your space. Create sensory experiences that you can look forward to! By romanticizing your routines and connecting more deeply with the process, you’ll transform them from a chore into rejuvenating self-care practices.
3. Prioritize Rest & Self Care

In a world that values constant productivity, set aside dedicated time to simply be. Whether it's an entire day or just a few hours — resting can do wonders for your skin, body, and overall well-being. It’s time to de-glamorize the grind! Treat yourself to a facial, massage, or nail appointment—whatever makes you feel pampered. These experiences not only give your skin the attention it needs but also provide deep relaxation, which helps lower stress and improve mood.
